Working meeting in Sicily-Italy

From May 14 to May 21, 2022, two teachers and six students of our school took part in a project meeting in Mistretta, Sicily, Italy as part of the Erasmus+ project "The Future Belongs to Seniors". We met our partners from French Guiana, Finland, the Netherlands, Portugal and of course our Italian hosts. Each school presented the situation of the elderly in their countries, the Portuguese and Finnish schools also presented common final products concerning the structure of the modern family and the lifestyle of young people in our localities for which they are responsible. We listened to a lecture on youth employment and demographic change in Sicily, delivered by Dr. Massimo Floridia, Managing Director of the Employment Center and consultant to the European Commission on labor mobility for European citizens. In addition to Mistretta and Santo Stefano di Camastra, we visited Palermo, Catania, Cefalu and Taormina and had the opportunity to see several craters of Etna. We had the opportunity to taste delicious Italian food, watch Sicilian folk dances, admire Antonio Presti's sculptures in Fiumara d'arte and the Halaesa Valley and experience the famous Italian hospitality.
